The top layer of the NeoGel mattress can be wiped clean to remove any moisture, dust mites or any other unwanted particles. It is made with the following layers for the best coolness, comfort and support:
- The NeoGel solid gel topper is 2 to 3 degrees cooler than Koosh VG. Solid gel is more expensive, than chunks of gel, but not if you buy it directly from the Foamite factory and avoid the middleman.
- Koosh ViscoGel (VG) is memory foam infused with swirls of cool gel. It is up to 5 times cooler than traditional memory foam.
- New iFoam memory foam is slightly firmer than the top layer of Koosh VG. It offers more support and a more consistent temperature for a deeper sleep. iFoam wicks heat away from the body keeping you cooler. It also contains silver ions that help deter bed bugs and dust mites.
- Koosh Natural convolute in the medium compression (KN26C) offers a gradual transition from the softer memory foam to the firmer core of the mattress. The convoluted foam also provides some air circulation.
- The Koosh Contour Pockets prevent the transfer of motion from one side of the bed to the other. The deep channels that are cut between the pockets also provide superior air flow. The Koosh Core can be made with a firmer compression in the mid-section (lumbar support) and a softer compression for pressure point relief in your shoulders and feet.
- This mattress is reversible and can be used on the firmer Contour Pocket side if your preference changes or if you are having problems with your back. A softer mattress will help to relieve pressure points in your shoulders and hips but a firmer mattress will give you better support and lower back pain relief. The level of firmness will be determent by our Ergocheck Technology, your preference and your back condition.
