At Foamite you will be able to select from over 45 grades of foam and design your own Orthopedic mattress with the help of our Ergocheck pressure testing. The majority of our foams, like EcoCell (EC) and NeoCell HD, are made here in Canada. Grades that are not made in Canada (Koosh, NeoGel, iFoam, Dunlopillo Latex) are imported to give you the best selection from all over the World. This selection allows you the freedom to design a mattress that is suitable to your needs and particular application at a factory direct price.
By layering the foam we can adjust the firmness of each layer to contour to every curve of your body. The convolute used on this mattress gives you some posturizing and air circulation. It also allows you to combine two different feels which you cannot get from one piece of foam alone. This mattress is designed for heavier people or for people suffering from severe lower back pain and require an extra firm mattress.
This mattress is less expensive to produce and is not made with any of our imported foam grades. The Strata Layered Orthopedic mattress, along with straight slabs of foam, are more commonly used in – spare bedrooms, motels, college dormitories, camps etc. The price and longevity of these mattresses depend on the density (weight not firmness) of the foam that is used.
