Is Your Foam Safe and Free of Chemicals?

Foam is Everywhere!

It’s in your car, in your furniture, under your carpet and in your bed, but is it safe? Today's consumer cares about what's inside the products they buy and that trend is growing. With tainted toothpaste, unsafe toys, deadly dog food no one can be surprised with what chemicals and harmful substances are found in imported foam products and mattresses.

News coverage about contaminated products has put the public on high alert about what they buy for themselves and their families. Even though these stories are not on the front page anymore, there is media coverage and consumer concern about 'toxic' furniture and 'hazardous' bedding.

What is the CertiPURâ„¢ program?

This voluntary testing, analysis and certification program was developed by members of the global foam industry in response to an increase in substandard imported foams. CertiPURâ„¢ tests for durability, content and indoor emissions. CertiPURâ„¢ is an extension of the European CertiPURâ„¢ program developed in 2002 by EUROPUR, the association of European flexible polyurethane foam block manufacturers. Products such as upholstered furniture and mattresses, that carry the CertiPURâ„¢ seal contain flexible polyurethane foams that have been tested and certified by an independent laboratory to meet specific criteria for physical performance, indoor emissions and environmental stewardship.
